BTM Coaches, Inc. has been providing safe and professional charter bus services across Florida for over 30 years. We operate out of Cocoa, Daytona Beach, and Vero Beach - and our drivers are the face of every trip we run. We pay, schedule, and treat them like it.
Up to $30 per hour based on experience and endorsements. Direct deposit every Friday. Per-diem trip drivers can request same-week pay on completed runs. No pay cards, no delayed schedules, no chargebacks.
BTM Coaches has been providing safe, professional charter bus services for over three decades. You're not joining a startup - you're joining a proven, established fleet with the highest safety ratings from the Department of Transportation and a client roster that keeps calling back.
Full-time, part-time, weekends-only, or per-diem trip work. Rocket launch mornings and cruise Saturdays give part-time drivers steady weekend hours without a Monday-through-Friday commitment.
You drive late-model motorcoaches and minibuses maintained on schedule, not held together with zip ties. Dispatch is reachable 24/7. Every route has a documented plan, not a guess.
Most Brevard County drivers work within 45 miles of home. Space Coast routes (Port Canaveral, Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach hotels) stay local. Central Florida drivers cover Orlando/Kissimmee without commuting to South Florida.
Lead driver, dispatcher, and route coordinator positions open first to existing drivers. Training on cruise port and Kennedy Space Center protocols is paid. PTO after 90 days for full-time. Health stipend after 6 months.
Here is what actual charter, school, and transit bus drivers are paid across Brevard County and Central Florida right now. BTM Coach's $30/hr top rate beats the school district pay by roughly 50 percent and sits at the top of the market for non-union charter work.
Pay ranges sourced from public job postings at brevardschools.org, 321transit.com, Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and Glassdoor as of July 2026. BTM Coach rate reflects our current 2026 pay scale for CDL Class B drivers with Passenger endorsement.
Our charter work pays more than school district and traditional transit routes because our clients pay more. Cruise passengers, rocket launch tour groups, corporate teams, wedding parties, and theme park groups pay premium rates for professional coach transportation - and we pass a real share of that to the driver who delivers the experience. School district drivers work split AM/PM shifts with 5-hour midday gaps unpaid. Traditional transit drivers work union route rotations that take years of seniority to bid into premium schedules. BTM Coach drivers get paid time-and-a-half above 40 hours, run modern equipment, and can trade shifts with other drivers directly through our dispatch system.
BTM Coach hires bus drivers across every Brevard County city and throughout Central Florida. Our largest driver demand is in Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach, Melbourne, Titusville, Palm Bay, and Merritt Island - the Space Coast corridor that feeds Port Canaveral cruise embarkation, Kennedy Space Center visitor traffic, Cape Canaveral Space Force Station support runs, and the fast-growing corporate campus traffic around L3Harris, Northrop Grumman, and Blue Origin.
Central Florida driver demand centers on Orlando, Kissimmee, Sanford, and Lakeland. Orlando drivers work convention center coach lines, I-Drive hotel shuttles, Disney and Universal drop-and-return runs, and Orlando International Airport transfers. Kissimmee drivers concentrate on ESPN Wide World of Sports tournament weekends and US-192 corridor hotel shuttles. Sanford drivers get first pick of Sanford Airport transfers, which stay coach-friendly all day. Lakeland drivers cover Publix corporate meetings and SUN 'n FUN Aerospace Expo traffic every April.
Your day depends on the trip type. Cruise shuttle drivers pick up passengers at Orlando-area hotels between 8:30 and 10:30 AM on cruise Saturdays and Sundays, load luggage, and deliver to Port Canaveral cruise terminals by 12:30 PM. Kennedy Space Center tour drivers pick up at Cocoa Beach or Orlando hotels at 8-9 AM, spend the day at the visitor complex, and return by 6 PM. Corporate charter drivers run point-to-point transfers for L3Harris, Publix, Disney, and Universal corporate teams - typically 3-5 hour blocks with clean vehicles and professional passengers.
Wedding drivers work Friday rehearsal dinners and Saturday guest shuttles at venues from The Breakers Palm Beach to the Cocoa Beach Country Club. Rocket launch charters are a Brevard specialty - passengers board at their hotel between 3 and 5 AM, coach stages at the NASA Causeway gate hours before the launch window, and drivers coordinate with launch traffic control for the return. School and youth sports drivers handle field trips, tournament shuttles at ESPN Wide World of Sports and USSSA Space Coast Complex, and church group travel.
The strongest applications include a CDL Class B with Passenger (P) endorsement, a clean 3-year MVR, and a resume that shows steady work history. We hire drivers with 0 to 30+ years of experience - what matters is your driving record, your attitude toward safety, and your ability to represent BTM Coach professionally with passengers who are on vacation, going to a wedding, or heading to work. Applicants currently in CDL school are welcome to apply for future placement - we track upcoming graduates and reach out when your license is issued.
DOT physical must be current or willing to obtain. Drug and alcohol testing per FMCSA is required for hire and periodically thereafter. We do not hire drivers with a DUI in the past 7 years, a positive drug test in the past 3 years, or more than 2 moving violations in the past 2 years. Everything else is a conversation.
You submit the form on this page and get an automatic confirmation email within 5 minutes.
