Route Overview
Starting at the Brevard Zoo, the route heads east on Wickham Road to US-192, which becomes the Melbourne Causeway crossing the Indian River Lagoon. On the barrier island, you arrive in Indialantic with beach access, local surf shops, and oceanfront parks. Continue south on A1A for Melbourne Beach's quieter stretches.

1. Brevard Zoo
An award-winning zoo with over 900 animals and unique kayak-through-the-zoo experiences. The Treetop Trek offers ziplining and aerial challenges above the animal habitats.
2. Melbourne Causeway
Cross the Indian River Lagoon on US-192 with views of fishing boats, pelicans, and the barrier island ahead. Pull off at the small fishing pier midway for lagoon views and casting a line.
3. Indialantic Boardwalk
A public beach boardwalk with restrooms, showers, and access to Indialantic's beautiful beach. The surf break here is popular with local surfers.
4. Long Point Park
A Brevard County park on the Indian River Lagoon side of Melbourne Beach with kayak launches, nature trails, and excellent birdwatching opportunities.
