Route Overview

The trail runs from Oviedo through Winter Springs, Casselberry, and Lake Mary. Driving the roads parallel to the trail, you pass through quiet residential neighborhoods, along lakefronts, and past natural areas. The trail connects to Big Tree Park (home of a famous bald cypress), multiple springs, and the scenic shores of several Seminole County lakes.

Stops Along the Way

1. Oviedo on the Park

Start in downtown Oviedo at this mixed-use development with restaurants, shops, and a community gathering space. Oviedo is known for its friendly chickens that roam the streets.

2. Black Hammock Adventures

An airboat tour and wildlife attraction on Lake Jesup, home to one of the largest alligator populations in Florida. Take a thrilling airboat ride or dine at the waterfront restaurant.

3. Winter Springs Town Center

A pedestrian-friendly town center with shops, restaurants, and community events. The Cross Seminole Trail runs right through the area with easy access.

A scenic natural area with boardwalks over wetlands, wildlife viewing, and connections to the trail system. The area is home to gopher tortoises, hawks, and various wading birds.
