Little Econ Greenway
The Little Econ Greenway is a paved multi-use trail following the Little Econlockhatchee River through east Orlando. Route Overview
The greenway runs through east Orlando along the Little Econlockhatchee River corridor. Access points are scattered along the route via local roads. The trail passes through Blanchard Park, Jay Blanchard Park, and other green spaces, connecting neighborhoods to natural areas along the river.
Stops Along the Way
1. Jay Blanchard Park
The main access point for the Little Econ Greenway. This large park has picnic pavilions, sports fields, playgrounds, and a trailhead with parking. The river is accessible for kayaking and canoeing.
2. Little Econ River Overlook
A scenic overlook along the trail where the river bends through a dense oak hammock. Herons, egrets, and turtles are commonly spotted from this vantage point.
3. Barber Park
A community park along the greenway with sports facilities, a disc golf course, and direct trail access. The park's location along the river provides a nice rest stop.
4. UCF Arboretum Connection
The eastern end of the greenway connects near the University of Central Florida campus area. The UCF Arboretum offers nature walks through native plant communities and a butterfly garden.
