History of LEGOLAND Florida
LEGOLAND Florida opened on October 15, 2011, on the site of the former Cypress Gardens theme park, which operated from 1936 to 2009. The park preserved and incorporated the historic Cypress Gardens botanical gardens, including the iconic banyan tree and Florida Pool. LEGOLAND has expanded significantly since opening, adding Heartlake City (2015), The LEGO Movie World (2019), and Peppa Pig Theme Park (2022) adjacent to the resort.
