About SeaWorld Orlando
SeaWorld Orlando is a 200-acre marine zoological theme park that combines world-class roller coasters with animal encounters and educational experiences. The park is home to over 200 species of animals and has evolved to feature some of Florida's most thrilling coasters including Mako, Kraken, Manta, Ice Breaker, and Pipeline: The Surf Coaster.
History of SeaWorld Orlando
SeaWorld Orlando opened on December 15, 1973, as the second SeaWorld park. The park has transformed significantly over the decades, evolving from primarily an animal show-based park to one of the premier roller coaster destinations in Florida. In 2016, SeaWorld announced the end of its orca breeding program and the phasing out of theatrical orca shows. The park has since invested heavily in new roller coasters and animal rescue programs.
