The holiday season transforms Central Florida's theme parks. Walt Disney World offers Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom, EPCOT's International Festival of the Holidays, and holiday overlays throughout the parks. Universal Orlando presents Holiday Celebration with the Grinchmas show at Islands of Adventure. SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration features millions of lights and live entertainment.
Weather Advantage
Central Florida's holiday season weather averages 60 to 75 degrees during the day with cool evenings in the 50s and 60s. This makes it ideal for outdoor activities without the intense summer heat. Occasional cold fronts can bring temperatures into the 40s, so layers are recommended. Rain is less frequent than summer months.
Crowds and Pricing
The holiday weeks between Christmas and New Year's Day are the busiest and most expensive time of year at Orlando theme parks. Hotel rates peak during this period. However, early November and early December offer much lower crowds with full holiday decorations in place. The week after Thanksgiving is one of the best value periods.
Group Holiday Events
