Disney Running Events
RunDisney hosts several major race weekends at Walt Disney World including the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend in January, the Princess Half Marathon in February, and the Wine and Dine Half Marathon in November. These events are extremely popular, selling out quickly, and feature courses that run through the theme parks.
Other Major Races
The OUC Orlando Half Marathon in December starts and finishes at Lake Eola. The Space Coast Marathon in Cocoa Beach is a Boston Marathon qualifier run along the beachside A1A. The Gasparilla Distance Classic in Tampa is one of the largest race events in the Southeast, held each February. The Daytona Beach Half Marathon runs on the famous beach.
Turkey Trots and Fun Runs
Thanksgiving morning Turkey Trot 5K runs are held across Central Florida in communities including Orlando, Winter Park, Celebration, and Melbourne. Color runs, mud runs, and themed fun runs happen throughout the year. Spartan Race and Tough Mudder events are held at various Central Florida locations.
Group Race Travel
