About Universal Epic Universe
Universal Epic Universe is Universal Orlando's highly anticipated third theme park, opening on May 22, 2025. Located on a separate 750-acre campus south of the existing resort, Epic Universe will be the largest Universal park ever built with five immersive worlds connected by a central celestial hub. The park represents a multi-billion dollar investment and is expected to reshape the Orlando theme park landscape.
History of Universal Epic Universe
Universal Epic Universe was announced on August 1, 2019, as Universal Orlando's third theme park. Construction was briefly paused during the COVID-19 pandemic but resumed quickly. The park is being built on land Universal acquired years ago south of Sand Lake Road, separate from the existing resort campus. A new hotel, Universal Helios Grand Hotel, is integrated directly into the park entrance. Epic Universe represents the largest single theme park investment in Florida history.
