About Celebration
Celebration is a master-planned community developed by The Walt Disney Company in the 1990s, located adjacent to Walt Disney World in Osceola County. The town was designed with walkable streets, front porches, and a charming downtown centered around a lake. While no longer Disney-owned, Celebration retains its picture-perfect aesthetic and hosts community events year-round.
Downtown Celebration
The downtown area surrounds a small lake and features restaurants, shops, a movie theater, and a lakeside walking path. Restaurants include Columbia Restaurant (a branch of the famous Tampa original), Cafe D'Antonio for Italian, and Market Street Cafe for casual dining. The architecture blends traditional Southern and Colonial Revival styles.
Events
Celebration hosts a fall festival with trick-or-treating, a Christmas celebration with nightly snowfall on Market Street (yes, artificial snow in Florida), a Fourth of July parade, and regular community events throughout the year. The Now Snowing celebration from late November through December is one of the most popular holiday events in the Kissimmee area.
