About US-192
US-192, also known as Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway, is a major east-west route through Kissimmee and the southern Orlando tourist corridor. The highway runs from Four Corners near Clermont east through Kissimmee to Melbourne on the coast. The western section near Walt Disney World is lined with hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions, making it one of the busiest commercial corridors in Osceola County.
The Tourist Corridor
The stretch of US-192 between I-4 and the Walt Disney World entrance is known as the tourist corridor. This section features hundreds of hotels, vacation rental offices, souvenir shops, dinner shows like Medieval Times and Capone's, and family attractions. Traffic is heavy year-round, especially during theme park operating hours.
Getting to Disney from US-192
US-192 intersects with World Drive, the main entrance to Walt Disney World, near Mile Marker 8. Hotels along US-192 offer some of the most affordable rates in the Disney area. The drive from the US-192 corridor to Magic Kingdom takes about 15 to 25 minutes depending on traffic and which park gate you are entering.
