What Are the Major Interchanges on the I-4 Corridor?

Going east from Tampa, I-4 meets US 41 in Tampa, US 301 near Riverview, I-75 near Brandon, US 98 in Lakeland, US 27 in unincorporated Davenport, US 192 in Celebration and Florida's Turnpike in Orlando, plus several junctions with US 17 and US 92. Around exit 62, the Central Florida GreeneWay and World Drive exit marks the change from rural highway to the Walt Disney World and Orlando suburbs. The Seminole Expressway (SR 417) ends at I-4 in Sanford at exit 101B, where the Wekiva Parkway also connects.

Are the I-4 Express Lanes Finished?

Yes. The I-4 Ultimate project rebuilt 21 miles of I-4 from Kirkman Road (SR 435, exit 75) in Orlando to SR 434 (exit 94) in Longwood at a cost of $2.3 billion. It broke ground in 2015, and its four variable-toll express lanes opened on February 26, 2022, with tolling starting March 3, 2022. The general-use lanes beside them stay free. The next phase, I-4 Beyond the Ultimate, would extend the express lanes about 40 miles in total, southwest to US 27 in Polk County and northeast to SR 472 in Volusia County, and is in planning and design.

Is I-4 Close to Orlando's Theme Parks?

Yes. I-4 enters Orange County from the southwest, passes through Walt Disney World and runs past SeaWorld Orlando and Universal Orlando before reaching downtown Orlando. How Do You Avoid I-4 Driving to Daytona Beach?

From east Orlando, the Seminole Expressway (SR 417) runs around the east side of the metro area and rejoins I-4 at exit 101B in Sanford, which skips the downtown and Seminole County stretch. From south Orlando or Orlando International Airport, another common route is SR 528, the Beachline, east to I-95 and then north to Daytona Beach.
