About EPCOT

EPCOT opened on October 1, 1982, as Walt Disney World's second theme park. The park is divided into four neighborhoods: World Celebration, World Discovery, World Nature, and World Showcase. EPCOT has undergone a massive multi-year transformation adding new attractions including Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Journey of Water inspired by Moana.

World Showcase

The World Showcase features 11 country pavilions around a 1.2-mile lagoon including Mexico, Norway, China, Germany, Italy, the American Adventure, Japan, Morocco, France, United Kingdom, and Canada. Each pavilion features authentic architecture, cuisine, cultural exhibits, and cast members from that country. Drinking around the world is a popular adult activity.

Top Attractions

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a reverse-launch indoor roller coaster in World Discovery. Test Track lets riders design and test virtual cars. Frozen Ever After in the Norway pavilion is a boat ride through scenes from the film. Soarin Around the World simulates hang-gliding over world landmarks. Remy's Ratatouille Adventure in France is a trackless dark ride.

Festivals

EPCOT hosts four major festivals annually: the International Festival of the Arts (January-February), International Flower and Garden Festival (March-July), International Food and Wine Festival (July-November), and International Festival of the Holidays (November-December). Each festival adds dozens of food and beverage kiosks, entertainment, and special merchandise.

Group Visits

EPCOT is ideal for adult groups, corporate outings, and food enthusiasts. BusBrother provides transportation from Orlando hotels to the EPCOT parking area. The park's festivals and diverse dining make it especially popular for group events. Private event spaces are available through Disney's event planning team.
