About Magic Kingdom
Magic Kingdom is the most visited theme park in the world, welcoming over 20 million guests annually. The park opened on October 1, 1971, as the first theme park at Walt Disney World Resort. It features six themed lands surrounding Cinderella Castle and over 40 attractions. The park covers 107 acres and is connected to the Transportation and Ticket Center by monorail and ferryboat.
Must-Do Attractions
Top rides include Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and TRON Lightcycle Run. For younger children, Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and It's a Small World are favorites. The park offers a good mix of thrill rides and family attractions.
Dining Options
Magic Kingdom offers table-service restaurants including Be Our Guest Restaurant in Beast's Castle and The Crystal Palace with character dining. Quick-service options include Cosmic Ray's Starlight Cafe, Columbia Harbour House, and Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. Reservations for table-service restaurants should be made 60 days in advance.
