Charging Network Overview

Central Florida has a rapidly growing EV charging infrastructure. Tesla Supercharger stations are located throughout the region including at Wawa convenience stores and shopping centers. ChargePoint, Electrify America, and EVgo networks provide CCS and CHAdeMO fast charging. Level 2 chargers are increasingly available at hotels, malls, and parking garages.

Theme Park Charging

Walt Disney World has installed EV charging stations at its theme park parking areas. Universal Orlando offers ChargePoint stations in its parking garages. Many resort hotels in the Orlando area have added Level 2 chargers for overnight charging. ICON Park and several I-Drive locations have public chargers.

Highway Charging

The Florida Turnpike, I-4 corridor, and I-95 corridor all have fast-charging stations at regular intervals. Electrify America stations at Walmart locations provide 150kW+ charging. Tesla Superchargers can add 200 miles of range in about 15 minutes. Plan charging stops in advance using apps like PlugShare or A Better Route Planner.

Group EV Note

While individual EV owners benefit from the expanding charging network, groups traveling together in a BusBrother charter bus enjoy the advantage of a single vehicle that covers any distance without individual charging concerns. For groups combining rental EVs, BusBrother provides an efficient single-vehicle alternative.
