Rideshare and Taxis
Uber and Lyft operate at MCO with designated pickup areas on Level 2 of the terminal garages. Rides to Walt Disney World cost approximately $25 to $35 and take about 30 minutes. Rides to International Drive cost $15 to $25. Taxis operate from the ground transportation level and charge metered rates that tend to be higher than rideshare.
Rental Cars
MCO has a dedicated rental car center connected to the terminals by a people mover. Major companies including Hertz, Avis, Enterprise, Budget, and National operate there. During peak season, rental car rates in Orlando can exceed $100 per day. Booking well in advance is strongly recommended.
Hotel Shuttles
Many Orlando area hotels offer complimentary or paid shuttle service to and from MCO. Disney Resort hotels offer Mears Connect service. Universal Orlando hotels offer shuttle service through the resort. Independent shuttle companies also provide shared-ride service to major hotel corridors.
Charter Bus and Group Service
For groups of 10 or more, BusBrother charter bus service from MCO is the most cost-effective and convenient option. The driver meets your group at baggage claim, loads all luggage, and drives directly to your destination. No splitting into multiple cars, no surge pricing, and no navigating unfamiliar roads.
Brightline Train
The Brightline high-speed train now connects MCO to South Florida with stations in West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, and Miami. The MCO station is inside the airport complex. This is a great option for individual travelers heading to South Florida but less practical for large groups with luggage.
