About Brevard Zoo
Brevard Zoo is a 75-acre community zoo in Melbourne, about 70 miles southeast of Orlando. The zoo is uniquely designed to integrate natural waterways with animal habitats, allowing guests to kayak through certain exhibit areas. Over 900 animals representing 195 species are housed in naturalistic environments organized by geographic region.
Unique Experiences
The Kayak Through the Zoo experience paddlesthrough the Expedition Africa and Wild Florida sections, passing near giraffes, rhinos, and alligators from water level. Rainforest Revealed houses jaguars, giant anteaters, and tropical birds. Paws On is an interactive children's area with play structures and a splash pad.
