About Gatorland

Gatorland has been a Central Florida landmark since 1949, predating Walt Disney World by over two decades. Located on South Orange Blossom Trail between Orlando and Kissimmee, the 110-acre park is home to thousands of American alligators and crocodiles. Gatorland offers a more authentic Florida experience than the major theme parks.

Attractions and Shows

The Gator Wrestlin' show features trained handlers demonstrating alligator handling techniques. The Gator Jumparoo show has alligators leaping out of the water for food. The Screamin' Gator Zip Line sends riders over pools of alligators and crocodiles. The breeding marsh boardwalk offers views of hundreds of free-roaming gators in a natural setting.

Wildlife Beyond Gators

Gatorland also houses a bird rookery that attracts thousands of wild wading birds during nesting season from January through May. The park has a petting zoo, a panther habitat, and a free-flight aviary. The Stompin' Gator Off-Road Adventure takes guests on a monster truck ride through the property.

Group Field Trips

Gatorland is a popular destination for school field trips, scout groups, and tour groups wanting an authentic Florida wildlife experience. Admission is significantly cheaper than the major parks. BusBrother provides group transportation from all Central Florida locations. The park is about 15 minutes from Disney.
