About the Visitor Complex
The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is the official visitor center for NASA's Kennedy Space Center, located on Merritt Island. The complex offers a full day of exhibits, bus tours, IMAX films, and interactive experiences spanning the history of American spaceflight from Mercury to Artemis. Over 1.5 million people visit annually.
Main Exhibits
Heroes and Legends features the US Astronaut Hall of Fame with artifacts from every era of human spaceflight. The Space Shuttle Atlantis exhibit showcases the actual space shuttle Atlantis displayed as if floating in space. The Apollo/Saturn V Center, accessible by bus tour, houses an actual Saturn V rocket and Apollo mission artifacts.
Bus Tours
The included bus tour takes visitors past the Vehicle Assembly Building, launch pads, and into the Apollo/Saturn V Center. The tour takes about 2 to 3 hours round trip. Add-on tours include the Explore Tour with additional stops and the Launch Director Tour with behind-the-scenes access. Tours operate throughout the day with frequent departures.
Astronaut Encounters
Daily astronaut encounters allow visitors to meet a real NASA astronaut, hear their spaceflight stories, and get autographs. The Dine with an Astronaut experience includes a catered meal with a veteran astronaut. The Astronaut Training Experience (ATX) offers simulated spaceflight activities including Mars base operations.
Group Visits
KSC offers group rates for parties of 10 or more with advance booking. Educational group programs are available for school field trips.
