About Starship
SpaceX's Starship is the largest and most powerful rocket ever built, standing nearly 400 feet tall when fully stacked with the Super Heavy booster. The vehicle is designed to be fully reusable, capable of carrying over 100 metric tons to low Earth orbit. Starship is central to SpaceX's plans for Mars colonization and NASA's Artemis human lunar landing program.
Florida Launch Operations
SpaceX has built a Starship launch facility at Launch Complex 39A at Kennedy Space Center, alongside its existing Falcon 9 operations. The Starbase facility in Boca Chica, Texas, handles development testing, but operational Starship flights are planned from Florida's Space Coast as well. The Florida facility is closer to population centers for viewing.
Viewing Starship Launches
When Starship launches from Florida, it will be visible from all the same viewing locations used for Falcon 9 and SLS launches. The sheer size and power of Starship's Super Heavy booster, with its 33 Raptor engines, will make it the most spectacular launch visible from the Space Coast. BusBrother will offer group viewing trips for Starship launches from Florida.
Impact on Space Tourism
Starship's massive cargo capacity and reusability could dramatically reduce the cost of accessing space. The vehicle is designed for missions including crewed flights to the Moon and Mars, satellite deployment, and potentially point-to-point travel on Earth. Its development is closely watched by the space community and general public alike.
