About LYNX
LYNX is the public bus system serving Orange, Seminole, and Osceola counties in the greater Orlando area. The system operates over 60 routes connecting residential areas, employment centers, and some tourist destinations. LYNX Central Station in downtown Orlando serves as the main hub where most routes connect.
Tourist-Useful Routes
Route 8 connects International Drive to downtown Orlando. Route 42 connects downtown to Orlando International Airport. The LYMMO is a free downtown circulator bus running on dedicated lanes through the central business district. Route 50 connects downtown to the Fashion Square Mall area. Coverage of theme parks is limited.
Fares and Passes
Single bus rides cost $2 with exact change or a LYNX pass. Day passes are $4.50 for unlimited rides. Weekly passes are available for $16. LYNX accepts contactless payment through the LYNX app. Transfers between routes within 90 minutes are included with a single fare.
Limitations for Tourists
LYNX does not provide direct service to Walt Disney World, Universal Orlando, or Port Canaveral. Routes can be infrequent with 30 to 60 minute headways. For tourists, LYNX works best for trips within the downtown Orlando core. For theme parks, airports, cruise ports, and beaches, BusBrother or rideshare services are necessary.
