How the Formal Driver Attire add-on works

You request formal attire in the booking notes. The dispatcher confirms with the assigned driver and the driver arrives at pickup in full black suit, white shirt, black tie, polished shoes, clean shave, and neat hair. The driver stays in formal attire for the entire booking including load and unload duties. On multi-day bookings the driver rotates clean shirts and returns to formal presentation each morning.

What's included

  • Black suit jacket and matching trousers
  • Pressed white dress shirt
  • Black tie (or bow tie for black-tie events on request)
  • Polished black dress shoes
  • Clean shave and neat hair

Pricing detail

Standard formal attire is 45 dollars per driver per trip - the price covers dry cleaning turnaround and the driver time to prepare. Black-tie tuxedo upgrade with bow tie and vest is 75 dollars per driver per trip and requires 5 days advance notice. Multi-driver bookings (multi-coach weddings or corporate events) discount to 35 dollars per driver when 3+ drivers are dressed formally.

Frequently asked questions

Do drivers normally wear a uniform on a charter bus?

Standard charter bus driver attire is a clean polo shirt or button-down with the carrier logo, khakis or dark trousers, and closed-toe shoes. That baseline is included in every booking at no extra cost and works for corporate transfers, school field trips, and casual group tours. For weddings, executive events, and funerals where guests are in formal wear the 45 to 75 dollar formal attire add-on brings the driver to visual parity with the guests.

What's the difference between formal attire and executive coach service?

Formal attire is only about the driver's appearance and works on any vehicle class. Executive coach service means the vehicle itself is upgraded (leather captain seats, upgraded upholstery, exterior detailing) plus formal driver attire is included. If you want a standard motorcoach or minibus with a formally-dressed driver book the 45 dollar attire add-on. If you want the full luxury vehicle plus formal driver book the /vehicles/executive-coach/.

Will the driver help with luggage in a suit?

Yes - drivers in formal attire still perform standard load and unload duties, and the 45 to 75 dollar rate accounts for suit cleaning between bookings. If the trip involves unusually heavy or dirty loading (construction site shuttles, catering equipment moves) the dispatcher will note it and either apply a higher cleaning surcharge or route the request to a service-attire driver instead.

Do I need formal attire for a wedding shuttle?

Not required but strongly recommended for photo continuity. Wedding photographers frequently capture guests entering and exiting the shuttle and a driver in casual attire breaks the visual formality of the event. About 80 percent of BusBrother wedding shuttle bookings include the formal attire add-on. Skip it only for ultra-casual beach weddings or destination weddings where the entire event is dressed down.
